In India, there is a lack of international level news channel. Almost all the news channel in India are national in outlook. Though their TRIP is high, they are up to an extent satisfying Indian viewer but I think people are not satisfied with it, they would like to see an Indian news channel which is international in outlook.
I feel sad for the people like me and others who want to see such news channel. One might be thinking what is the need of it ? In the world, we already have top news channels like BBC,Al Jazeera,Press TV, CNN etc, their standard is also above par. I don't deny it, but if you notice carefully though their quality and content is good their perspective is somewhat biased towards other nations (not all obviously!!). This is where comes the requirement of an exemplary International news channel of Indian origin. Apart from that, there is always a scope of improvement which we can prove to the world.
Let's take the example of BBC, this is the largest news network in the world employing more than 20,000 employees all over the world. They have their branches all over the world (mostly in every country of the world).They have segregated their news channel into various departments like weather, sports, entertainment etc. This segregation helps them to deliver excellence in every field. Due to its wide reach and content, it has created a monopoly on the international stage when we talk about the international news channels. An international Indian news channel will not only show the different perspective but will provide strong competition to all good channels in the market. Which would eventually benefits the viewers?

This International news channel would provide a credible source of information for the people of the world with India’s perspective. A news channel which will have all the ingredients to surpass the international standards set by the other channels so far. Like it will have editorial independence and its video quality will be at par with the international standards. It will have highly qualified and trained reporters who will deliver the news on the right lines. In this era of commercialization, this news channel will be the credible source of information on which their countrymen can rely on and others can look at.
