According to Xiaomi's VP of international for Xiaomi Hugo Barra the company will launch the Mi5 in India as early as by the end of March 2016 (announced at an event of Xiaomi,'s new Redmi note 3 India). Barra has announced that India will be one of the first markets to get the new, premium Xiaomi Mi5 which was showcased in Barcelona just last week and went on sale just two days ago. He we are bringing the Mi5 to India within a month of the launch in China.
I hereby present the factsheet of Xiomi Mi5 with respect to different aspects:
Design:
The Mi5 seems to be a good Xiaomi smartphone.Mi5 has beveled sides that are curved half-way towards the back, which will make it comfortable to handle. Metal and plastic have been used to make the body.
This phone has a bright and crisp display. It has a 5.15-inch screen offering full HD (1920x1080 pixels resolution).
Hardware:
1. Chip: Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 .
2. Processor: 1.8GHz in the 3GB variant and 2.15GHz in the Pro variant with 4GB RAM.
3. Storage: The standard edition has 32GB or 64GB of internal storage( whereas the Pro has 128GB of in-built storage space)
4. Battery: 3000mAh( with Quick Charge 3.0 which will help to charge the phone faster).
Camera:16MP rear-facing snapper that comes with OIS, PDAF, 4K video recording, and dual tone dual LED.
Software:
The phone will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company's custom MIUI 7 running atop it.
Fingerprint scanner:
This phone has a fingerprint scanner that is integrated into the home button placed in between a pair of capacitive buttons on the front.
Connectivity options:
The Mi 5 houses a USB Type-C reversible port. Also, the phone features IR blaster to control home equipment like TV, air conditioner and more through it. There are other connectivity options in the phone: Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, and dual-SIM support.
