Green tea: A very healthy alternative!

Yes, we all would have heard about green tea. Many people use it for weight-loss purposes but it actually has ample of other benefits too. let me begin with a certain historical background on green tea leaves. The concept was originated in China and the leaves are obtained from the Camellia sinensis plant. An extract of leaves can also be made and used as medicine.

But the real question would be How does it work?
The useful parts of green tea are the leaf bud, leaf, and stem. It is not fermented and is produced by steaming fresh leaves at higher temperatures. During this process, it is able to maintain many important molecules called polyphenols, which seem to be responsible for most of the benefits of green tea.

Anti-oxidants present in it helps protect the heart and blood vessels. Also it contains only 2 to 4% caffeine which increases the alertness of the brain and helps patients suffering from Parkinson's disease.

But then we all must have heard that green tea is very bitter in taste and generally its too difficult to consume. So what is the ideal way to prepare a, probably less bitter green tea.

The mixture of Green tea, enhanced with fresh lemon juice, honey and sugar make it a treat to drink. For the complete recipe you can visit here.

So now probably we know that green tea is linked to a lot of benefits to health. But then how much should be consumed everyday?
Ok, so here is the deal. Generally 240-320 grams of intake in a day is perfectly normal and would certainly help you remain alert and cut your fat. This roughly amounts to 3 cups daily. So initially begin with one cup and then with time increase the intake.

I hope you enjoyed the post.
