Easy steps to prevent common cold and flu!

We all know winter is the season of common cold. Moreover along with it accompanies the flu too! But we all want to stay healthy, so what can we do to take some precautions and avoid catching a flu...

1st. Wash your hands regularly:
We all roam out everyday. Coming in contact with so many people, shake hands with them and then eat our food with the same hand. So basically the germs from their skin gets transferred to our body! The right way to avoid this is by washing hands regularly and get rid of all those harmful viruses.

2nd. Pay attention to the symptoms:
We ignore if we have a running nose or frequent sneezes. But then one should know the basic symptoms.
A common cold is generally milder. One has running nose or a blocked nose.
While flu will be stronger and knock you off. May be cause weakness and you will begin feeling cold. Exhaustion and body-ache are also distinguishing features.

3rd. Choose the right medicines:
Try and read the labels. Analyze and consult a doctor if the drug you take has any different side-effects. There can be a single pill like- a decongestant, a pain killer or a cough supplement. But make sure you don't take too many pills together.

4th. If you feel sick, take rest:
Yes, there should be no excuse to this. One has to stay home and take rest otherwise the sickness will increase. Also avoid drinking cold water and try eating warm stuff.

5th. Drink more fluids:
Warm fluids can help thin mucus, drain the sinuses and relive a blocked nose. Lukewarm Water, sports drinks and some herbal tea help keep your airways open and relive any congestion.
